2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Firm information — your audit firm name, ICAN registration number, staff size, office address, and company email.
• Engagement data — audit files, workpapers, notes, trial balances, and documents you upload or create inside the platform.
• Payment information — transaction references and amounts processed through BudPay. We do not store card numbers or bank credentials — these are handled entirely by BudPay.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and timestamps, used solely for platform improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your firm workspace and user accounts.
• To send transactional emails — account activation, payment receipts, team invitations, and password resets.
• To enforce subscription limits and plan access.
• To provide customer support when you contact us.
• To improve the platform based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers hosted by Namecheap (cPanel shared hosting). We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and hashed password storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required to provide the service. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• BudPay — payment processing. Subject to BudPay's own privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — for interface typography. No personal data is transmitted.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at mail@goauditiq.com. We will respond within 14 business days.

8. Cookies

We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from logging in.
